about this recording
My admiration for the great Romantic composers has not changed over the years, and Madrigal is another example of this. The name Madrigal is believed to be derived from the Latin words cantus matricalis, meaning "song in the mother tongue." I found this very fitting, as I feel that perhaps my musical "mother tongue" speaks the language of Romantic expression.
