My admiration for the great Romantic composers has not changed throughout these years and «Madrigal» is another statement of it. The name «Madrigal» is assumed to be derived from the Latin words cantus matricalis meaning a song in the mother tongue. I found this to be quite fitting, as I feel that perhaps my musical “mother tongue” speaks the language of Romantic expression.
