A brand new concert piece for concert band 3rd section. The work was commissioned by the Lucerne Wind Band Association for the Lucerne Cantonal Music Festival 2025 in Sursee, Lucerne. At the same time, it will also be performed at the cantonal music festival in Fribourg as a commissioned piece for the 3rd section brass band.

In Cloud Pictures, composer Thomas Rüedi devotes himself to the musical depiction of different types of clouds. With sensitive instrumentation and creative sounds, he transforms the flowing and diverse nature of clouds into impressive musical images. The wind orchestra is given the opportunity to expressively emphasise the different moods and textures of these cloud worlds.
